New Gerber Collision & Glass opens in Portland, Oregon

CHICAGO — The Boyd Group operates collision repair centers across North America — 19 Gerber Collision & Glass locations in the U.S. and five Boyd Autobody & Glass locations in Canada.

CHICAGO — The Boyd Group Inc., which operates collision repair centers across North America — 19 Gerber Collision & Glass locations in the U.S. and five Boyd Autobody & Glass locations in Canada — recently opened a location in Portland, Oregon, according to a press release.

“In October 2015, we acquired our first location in Oregon, and with this center, we now have seven [in the state], all strategically located to serve the Portland area,” Tim O’Day, Boyd Group U.S.’s president and COO, said in the release. “Building this regional presence increases our capacity so we can both better assist our insurance partners and reach out to new customers.”

Boyd Group, which is also a major auto glass retailer, opened the new Gerber Collision & Glass Portland location on July 8 at a center previously operated as Blue Ribbon Autobody.

The release noted that the Boyd Group is looking actively for more collision repair locations to add to its existing network in North America.
